Carnosic acid is a plastidial catecholic diterpene found in herb extracts from Rosemary. Carnosic acid has anti-oxidant, anti-microbial, anti-cancer and anti-angiogenic properties.
It modulates Akt/IKK/NF-kB signaling by PP2A and induces intrinsic and extrinsic pathway mediated apoptosis in human prostate carcinoma PC-3 cells.
